Film
Selection criteria
The following criteria (mentioned in the festival
announcement) were used to assess entries:
- Information and educational value of content
(including factual accuracy, sensitivity of treatment and balance
of the analysis)
- Effective use of the audio-visual medium
(i.e. good story telling that is engaging and effective with audiences)
- Creative and artistic merit
- Production values (good camera work, clear
audio track, legible subtitles, etc.)
These four factors were separately rated,
and the cumulative ratings were considered when selecting an entry.
While each film was selected strictly on its individual merit -
as reflected by the ratings - the overall selection has achieved
a diversity and balance of geographical regions, themes and genres.
