TVEAP’s capacity building programme
periodically organises national, sub-regional and regional level
training workshops and short courses in the developing countries of
the Asia Pacific.
Such training aims to sharpen the skills of
those already in television broadcasting and/or factual film-making
to better understand and cover development, humanitarian and social
issues.
Our training is principally intended for those
working for television (TV programme producers, news reporters,
newscasters) and those using video in the public interest
(independent film-makers). We accommodate staff members of TV
stations as well as regular freelancers, with emphasis on mid-career
professionals.
From time to time, we also manage exchanges of
TV professionals among countries of the Asia Pacific region.
