TVE Japan is an autonomous, non-profit organisation in Japan that shares and promotes the vision and mission of TVE within Japan and in the Asia Pacific.

Formed in 1995 by a group of senior Japanese broadcasters, TVE Japan operates a small office in Tokyo, and is a member of the influential Global Environmental Forum of Japan.

TVE Japan produces new television programmes on environment and development issues relevant to Japan, arranges their broadcast on Japanese television, and organises film screening and distribution activities across the country. It is also associated with the annual Earth Vision Tokyo Global Environmental Film Festival.

TVE Japan has always been supportive of TVE Asia Pacific and the Asia Pacific Partner Network. In addition to participating in regional workshops and events, TVE Japan has worked with TVE Asia Pacific in raising funding support from Japanese sources to support audio visual activities in the region.
