TVE
Asia Pacific's Media Resources
TVE Asia Pacific's core media resource is its
video film catalogue
that consists of several hundred hours of TV programmes, all made
to international broadcast standards.
These titles are available in a variety of formats
or genres, such as documentary, drama, docu-drama, animation and
TV spots or public service announcements (PSAs). All have been produced
to broadcast standards.
Many have been produced by TVE Asia Pacific or
TVE International on an editorially independent, journalistic basis.
In addition, productions made by independent film-makers, companies
and development organisations are also included in the catalogue.
These programmes are available to TV broadcasters,
as well as educational and civil society users. TVE Asia Pacific
does not charge a license fee (or royalty) from usersin developing
countries (low
and middle income countries according to the UN). This makes
TVEAP's programmes affordable and accessible to a large number of
TV stations, universities, schools and civil society organisations,
many of who cannot afford commercially marketed films and programmes.
